Job Description
Novotel and Ibis Southampton are excited to be recruiting for a new Operations Manager. As the hotels Operations Manager you will be responsible for the full food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar and conferencing across the site. Reporting directly to the multi site General Manager, you will also take on full responsibility for both hotels in the absence of the General Manager.
You must be committed to great guest service and have a passion for food and beverage. You should be a thorough and task-oriented person who can complete both menial and substantial tasks under various conditions. You should be multi-skilled and able to hop into any position within the bar, restaurant or conference areas of the business at any time necessary. You must have the ability and tolerance to manage and maximize a diverse workforce and can relate to people on a variety of different levels. The Operations Manager should be charismatic, confident, and have the ability to motivate through example. You should be effective in managing relationships between FOH, BOH, and other departments to create a culture of care, concern and accountability. The Operations Manager should have the ability to shift gears and represent all outlets for PR, press-related, marketing initiatives, and internally. The best Operations Directors enjoy making all guests happy, both internal and external.
Qualifications
* Minimum five years’ experience in a high volume, high quality food and beverage environment.
* Some hotel property experience preferred.
* Minimum two years management/supervisory experience.
* Must be able to show enthusiasm for the team, food and beverage, the Brand, and the culture.
