Job Description Share Share Share GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Primary School Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Bridlington for a long-term maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners and to work within a supportive school community. This is a full time role and you will be required 8:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Planning and Delivering Lessons: Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of Year 1 students, accommodating a variety of learning styles and abilities. Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment that fosters students’ academic and social growth. Effectively manage behaviour using techniques in line with school policies. Student Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess, track, and report on students' progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary to ensure individual learning goals are met. Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues to ensure the holistic development of all students, contributing to the overall school community. Behavioural Support: Implement and follow behaviour management strategies to support students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment. What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS, with experience teaching at the primary level, ideally within Year 1 or Key Stage 1. Behaviour Management: A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and the ability to implement them effectively in line with the school’s policies. Passionate and Adaptable: A compassionate and flexible approach to teaching, with a commitment to fostering a love for learning in young children. Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and external professionals, ensuring strong relationships and positive outcomes.
