Our client is a successful and well-established vehicle manufacturer, looking for Auto Electricians to join their team. Candidates should have electrical experience within the Automotive industry (skilled Electricians, Electrical Assemblers, Electrical Engineers, and other Electrical workers familiar with vehicle-related tasks). All new employees will go through an on-site Training Academy to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills for the role.
This is a permanent position following a usual 3-month probation period.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience as an Auto Electrician or familiarity with the electrical aspects of a vehicle, including repairs or installation/assembly.
2. Soldering experience.
3. Crimping experience.
4. Able to work with small tolerances of cabling down to 1mm.
5. Understanding and ability to follow instructions shown on technical drawings and schematics.
NOTE: You will be tested on the above at the interview with a hands-on practical test.
Shift Pattern: Earlies & Lates, weekly rotating shift pattern. 4-day week, Monday to Thursday:
1. Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6.00am - 4.00pm (3.00pm finish on Thursdays).
2. Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 1.00pm - 11.00pm (2.00pm start on Thursdays).
(During the Training Academy, you may be on a normal day shift until training is complete)
Salary Information:
* Salary is between £13.00 - £15.00 per hour depending on level of experience + 12% Shift Allowance across all shifts once trained (£14.56 - £16.80 including shift allowance) + Overtime at time and a half (once trained).
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
1. Installing electrical equipment to a range of vehicles on a production line.
2. Electrical modifications to vehicle bodies to the highest achievable quality standard.
3. Fabrication of wiring harnesses.
4. Fabrication and installation of fuse boxes, boards, and RCD circuits.
5. Installation of battery management systems.
6. Installation of CANbus systems.
7. Fault finding and diagnostics.
8. Installation of wiring harnesses and subassemblies.
9. Soldering, crimping, and wiring looms.
Applicant Requirements:
1. You MUST have a Full UK Driving License with own transport (Car/Motorbike) due to the location of the company.
2. Previous experience as an Auto Electrician/Electrician/Electrical Assembler/Electrical Engineer, ideally in the Automotive industry.
3. Ability to follow specific build instructions, take detailed notes, and follow installation diagrams and schematics (this will be tested during the interview).
4. Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
This role would suit someone with experience in Auto Electrics; however, applications from other job roles will be considered, such as Electrical Assembler/Electrical Assembly Operative/Electrical Technician/Vehicle Assembler (Electrics)/Auto Engineer/Car Mechanic/Coach Builder, or similar roles involving assembling or servicing vehicles like Coaches/Trucks/Buses/HGV/LGV/PSV/Motorhomes/Emergency/Military vehicles/Cars/Lorries/Ambulances/Fire Engines/Police Cars/Vehicle conversions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
