Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £45,250 - £57,000 salary depending on experience

Let us introduce the role
AWE is looking for a Talent and Development Manager to join our HR function. This is a 12 month fixed term contract or internal secondment.
As a Talent and Development Manager, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and implementing talent and development initiatives to achieve our business objectives. This role requires a Deep specialist/talent expert who is strategic, proactive and highly specialised and can engage and influence at all levels of the organisation. This role also includes line management of a small team.
Please note this role is talent, development and learning focused and does not involve recruitment.
Some of the Key Responsibilities
* Line management of two direct reports (one Talent & Development Specialist and a Talent & Development Co-ordinator)
* Provide expert knowledge and skills in the talent management field for our customers
* Support in the full end-to-end talent process including assessment and programme development and some delivery
* Deliver psychometrics and their associated feedback sessions to colleagues on talent programmes
* Work with the talent team to identify trends, carry out organisation wide research and LNA and help them to drive and create a culture of learning
* Evaluate all talent programmes and talent assessment initiatives with a view to improving future offerings
* Deliver the central talent agenda and help to embed within the business
* Work with a range of HR colleagues such as HRBPs to ensure the talent management processes are applied consistently across the business
* Proactively work with colleagues in the function to increase capability through education, learning interventions, coaching and development as appropriate
* Increase leadership capability and growth mindset through use of development channels and coaching
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
* Excellent communicator both written and verbal with the ability to network
* Qualifications in and experience of psychometrics would be desirable
* Research skills
* Knowledge of talent assessment methodology
* Organised and has great time management
* Coaching skills
* Able to prioritise work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines and SLAs
* A good general knowledge of HR
* Influencing skills
* Comfortable with analytics
* Proven experience in talent management and development
* Knowledge and application of psychometrics
* Strong project management skills
* Experience working in a defence or government organisation preferred
