What you’ll be doing… In this role, you will provide an engineering oversight and technical support to teams of technicians, ensuring effective plant repairs and efficient maintenance activities. You will also assist the Care and Maintenance team, offering technical expertise and guidance to oversee day-to-day care and maintenance tasks. Your responsibilities will include supervising plant-facing work with a hands-on approach, ensuring that all tasks adhere to site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company policies, local directives, procedures, and safety standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying plant issues, utilising your technical knowledge to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. You will ensure that all completed work aligns with site standards and meets prescribed service levels, ensuring that targets and standards are consistently achieved. Who you are… You’ll have a proven track record of working within a team to consistently deliver exceptional performance while adhering to company processes. You will have a solid technical, industrial and operational engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on safety. A background in engineering, with a focus on identifying and resolving issues while prioritising safety, quality, time, and cost, is essential. In addition, experience working within regulatory frameworks, specifically the Nuclear Site License, is highly valued. Hold an engineering-based qualification at HNC level or equivalent, demonstrating your technical expertise and commitment to maintaining high industry standards.
