An opportunity has now arisen for an individual to join our company in the role of:
Technical Analyst
We are looking to recruit a Technical Analyst to help manage the day-to-day customer technical queries and to carry out analysis on essential oils and aroma chemicals.
The company exports its products world-wide, primarily for the food industry, with processing facilities both here in the UK and in China.
We are looking to expand our Technical team in Poole and offer the opportunity to an ambitious and committed individual to help in the development and expansion of our products into new markets. Previous experience is not essential as training will be given on site, but Quality Control knowledge will be beneficial.
Duties
1. Carry out QC testing of all incoming raw materials, outgoing finished products and other samples.
2. Create and send certificates of analysis for all orders despatched to customers.
3. Send products for external analysis including C14 and pesticides and analyse the results.
4. Prepare and send samples to customers with relevant documentation.
5. Assist with queries related to QC testing.
6. General upkeep and cleaning of the laboratory environment and its systems.
7. Gain understanding of regulatory compliance for our products.
8. Working and reporting on technical projects/feasibility studies and R&D.
9. Provide coverage for other Technical Analysts during any periods of absence.
Key Requirements
1. Experience of Quality Control is desired but not essential.
2. Strong communicator.
3. Be able to work well towards deadlines and under pressure within a team.
4. Enthusiastic, responsible and willing to learn new skills.
5. Proficient oral and written English communication skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Hours of work are:
Monday – Thursday – 0830 - 1700 with a 1600 finish on a Friday.
