Job Title: Buyer / Senior Buyer - Mens
Client Details:
My client, a fast-growing and ambitious retail business in the Trafford area of Manchester, is looking to add a Buyer / Senior Buyer - Mens to the team. The business has gone from strength to strength over the last 3 years. This Ecommerce Brand sells both Womens & Mens products across multiple categories.
Description
1. Ensuring we have the right product/right price/right time within the range assortment for maximum sales.
2. Negotiating prices across categories, working with the merchandiser to ensure we are balancing competitive prices with maximum profit.
3. Regular travel to visit factory base and drive newness, selecting from showrooms, building relationships, negotiating best possible costs, units, and lead times.
4. Working closely with the merchandiser in driving and delivering strategy for ladies stock range - including budgets, targets, sign-offs, weekly trade, intake/replen.
5. Analysing and reacting daily to trend and trade reactions.
6. Managing supplier relationships.
7. Coordinating with and supporting all teams to manage CP - QC, Design, Studio, Shipping.
8. Driving collaboration with other customers and departments on fabric blocking and style sharing as a business to maximise profit.
9. Maintaining close relationships with other platforms, e.g., Next, TK Maxx, and new customers.
10. Management of Junior Buyer and BAA - workload, development.
11. Regular analysis of competitor activity.
12. Attending weekly fit sessions with QC and design to establish best fits and quality.
Profile
1. Experience working within a fashion brand.
2. Creative and trend-driven with a good eye for colour and fabric.
3. Attentive to detail with the ability to think creatively.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Team player and able to build relationships.
6. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
7. To be able to deal with all challenges in a calm and positive manner.
