There is an exciting opportunity to work within the cancer business unit as a band 5 registered nurse.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating of holistic and individualised care. This will be in line with local, Trust wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours.
We have opportunities available part time/full time across ward 301 - which is an 18 bedded Acute Haematology Ward.
You will need to be a registered nurse with previous ward based experience and ideally demonstrate previous Oncology/Haematology experience. Evidence of the administration of medications intravenously and through CVAD's is desirable alongside the ability to perform skills such as Intravenous cannulation/venepuncture and SACT experience. However, full training can be given if this is not a skill you currently possess.
In addition, the post holder will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, enthusiastic and an effective team member committed to providing the highest level of service for our patients.
You will need to have the ability to plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
