Our client, a friendly and well-established family-run architectural practice based in Brentwood, is on the lookout for a talented Architectural Designer -Residential to join their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role with real autonomy, long-term progression, and involvement across all RIBA stages. As an Architectural Designer – Residential, you’ll work closely with the Director, leading your own projects from concept to completion. You’ll attend client briefings and site visits, develop detailed design packages, liaise with consultants, and see your ideas come to life, all while growing into a potential leadership role. The Role: Attend site visits, client meetings, and surveys Create detailed 2D & 3D design packages for planning applications Produce and coordinate Building Regs packages Manage your own time and projects independently Represent the practice at networking events and client meetings What We’re Looking For: Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential architecture Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Planning Policy Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop & InDesign Part 1 qualified (or equivalent experience) Confident, personable, and driven with strong communication skills Full UK driving licence and access to your own car (essential) What’s In It for You: Salary up to £35K depending on experience 37.5-hour work week (Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm) 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Christmas shutdown Free on-site gym and parking Mileage covered for site/client visits Two fully paid company social events per year Genuine support with Part 2 & 3 career progression Hands-on exposure to all RIBA stages and leadership development If you’re an experienced Architectural Designer – Residential who wants to work on meaningful projects in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, we want to hear from you Apply now to take the next step in your architectural career
