You will be working with one of the UK's leading charitable organisations who provide support to children, helping young people to feel safer, happier and healthier. The organisation has a fantastic purpose and is looking for a talented qualified or part-qualified accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will be providing assistance and support through the provision of financial analysis, advice and guidance. Within this varied role, you will act as the finance business partner by providing financial analysis and guidance to the Assistant Directors of Children's Services and the local management teams to help them manage budgets. You will ensure financial targets are monitored, reported against and variances are addressed. In addition, you will support with the management of budgets, financial reporting and forecasting, which will help mitigate financial risks. You will also help implement and monitor polices and procedures, ensuring they are bothpliant and efficient. This is a pivotal role, and you will gain a real sense of purpose, understanding how your role helps the organisation to achieve its overall objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be qualified via CIMA / ACCA / ACA or close to achieving this qualification and will hold a minimum of 2 years' experience at a strategic level as a business partner. An understanding ofernment funding would be beneficial along with good excel skills. Experience of budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts is key, and you will have great influencing skills and a proactive approach. Emotional intelligence is key, as you will be working with a range of stakeholders and being able to adapt your style and approach will see you thrive in this exciting role.
