Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality breads, pastries, and other baked items while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, dedication, and the ability to work efficiently and on time.
Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries and other baked goods according to established recipes.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed throughout the baking process.
Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, including equipment and utensils.
Conduct quality checks on baked products to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Complete food preparation tasks as required, including measuring ingredients and mixing doughs.
Stay updated on current baking trends and techniques to enhance product offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the bakery industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and techniques related to baking.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food production.
A passion for cooking and creating unique baked items that delight customers.
Flexibility to work various shifts to cover holidays as and when needed.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in the bakery.
