History Teacher Annual Salary: MPS (Main Pay Scale) Location: Surrey Job Type: Temporary (until October half term, with the possibility to extend) We are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join our secondary school team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about history and eager to inspire a love of learning about the past in young minds. Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging history lessons to students in line with the national curriculum. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support to ensure academic development. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation among students. Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Participate in departmental meetings, sharing insights and strategies to improve teaching practices and student outcomes. Utilise a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching history at the secondary level. Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
