Structural Digital Technician - Building Services.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious Structural Digital Technician to join our clients Birmingham Industry & Buildings team, to become an integral member of their skilled Civil & Structural team and assist with their growing workload.
You will be involved in a wide range of projects from industrial and commercial Clients.
Project responsibility will be to prepare quality deliverables for all structural aspects of projects, which will include the development of coordinated 3D models and associated outputs.
You will be flexible, dynamic with the ability to assist in the development of an expanding team.
Projects cover a wide range of sectors including industrial, logistics, people buildings, food & beverage and automotive, including many more.
Main work areas will be:
1. Prepare Structural models and drawings.
2. Ensure quality of the deliverables is maintained.
3. Carry out clash detection and co-ordination both internally and externally.
4. Contribution to project BIM Execution Plans.
5. Responsible for planning project BIM deliverables and their delivery including document issues and maintain the Common Data Environment.
6. Develop parametric and automation tools on projects.
7. Support knowledge sharing.
8. Establish and maintain quality systems and procedures.
9. Support the development of BIM / DWOW within the team.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. HNC/HND in Civil & Structural Engineering or Construction related course.
2. Extensive experience of Revit and AutoCAD.
3. Some experience in 3D reinforced concrete detailing.
4. Technical experience in a Structural discipline.
5. Understanding of BIM processes (ISO19650) and its application to projects.
6. Ability to manage own tasks and ensure delivery meets programme.
7. Assist in maintaining and developing family libraries as required.
8. Some knowledge of Clash Detection software such as Navisworks/Revizto is an advantage.
9. Some experience of Common Data Environment platforms such as Asite, ACC, BIM360.
Hours of work: Usual Office hours with flexibility around projects.
Salary: £45k - £55k (DOE) Negotiable.
