About the Role
As the Apprenticeship Data and Compliance Manager at Queen Mary, University of London, you'll lead initiatives to enhance apprenticeship data quality, integrity and usability, across the apprenticeship provision. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll develop and manage ESFA and Ofsted data requirements, prioritise improvements, and establish automated data quality reporting systems. (using the SMART Assessor LMS system) to help drive better decision-making and operational efficiency across the provision.
In addition, you will also ensure that data and claims records are accurately maintained and submitted in a timely manner and that the data meets the ESFA requirements, including the validation and accuracy of all PDSAT and FRM reports and resolving of any D-Lock errors. You will also need to have a thorough working knowledge and experience in the production and submission of the ILR return, including data collection, data quality, ILR coding and production of the final file.
About You
You will have significant and up to date operational experience in managing ESFA data returns in accordance with the funding rules as well as, demonstrable experience of improving compliance across the provision. You will have excellent management skills, and be comfortable in working collaboratively with others. As this role is multi-faceted (covering both ESFA, Ofsted and other regulatory returns), you will need to be able to establish effective working relationships with a range of both internal and external key stakeholders and to be committed to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of any changes to the ESFA funding rules.
Please note, there is a minimum requirement of 3 days a week working onsite at department W, Mile End.

The Degree Apprenticeship Office (DAO) supports the Faculties and Schools in using apprenticeship data and information to drive improved performance and decision making. We aim to support the apprenticeship planning activities and to provide internal and external customers and employers with management information that is reliable and timely. As one of the UK’s foremost research-intensive universities, we are constantly responding to changes in the sector and working collaboratively across the University to expand our apprenticeship provision and data capacity and data literacy.
