Are you an experienced Property Asset Officer looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and forward-thinking local authority?
West Berkshire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Finance and Property Service as a Property Asset Officer.
As a Property Asset Officer, you will play a key role in the management and maintenance of the Council's property portfolio.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Undertaking property inspections, surveys, and valuations
2. Managing lease agreements and property transactions
3. Providing expert advice on property-related matters
4. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
5. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective property solutions
To excel in this role, you should have:
6. Extensive knowledge and experience in property asset management
7. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
8. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
9. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
10. A professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential
This role is fixed term until 31st December 2025 – Funding limited project
