The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be at the heart of the design process, contributing to high-quality, innovative products. There is potential for career progression, including a path to a Lead Engineer position within five years. Key Responsibilities Design Development: Create and enhance mechanical designs from concept through to production, ensuring the highest standards of engineering are met. Collaboration with Manufacturing: Work alongside the production team to ensure designs are implemented efficiently and effectively. Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive design specifications, assembly instructions, and manufacturing drawings to guide the production process. Product Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date product definitions, and manage a detailed database of components and assemblies. Quality Assurance: Oversee product compliance and quality standards, including reviewing engineering changes and managing nonconforming product concessions. Continuous Improvement: Identify and resolve design challenges, conduct risk assessments, and compile failure analysis reports to drive ongoing product improvement. What You Bring Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the design of heavy or rotating Equipment. Technical Skills: Strong CAD skills, with proficiency in both 2D and 3D design tools (AutoCAD and Inventor are a plus).
