We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Account Handler within our UK Specialty business. The position is based from our office in Croydon and offered on a permanent basis.
Working within our Sport & Entertainment division, the role will cover our Artists scheme where you will focus on servicing existing clients as well as striving to acquire and win new business. We’re therefore seeking a capable individual with prior commercial insurance experience.
Key areas of focus
1. Take care of incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
2. Work within agreed authority levels.
3. Review the demands and needs of customers and advise on the most appropriate insurances to meet their demands and needs.
4. Increase client base wherever possible.
5. Convert insurance needs to sales.
6. Cross sell insurance wherever possible.
7. Lead and process client new business, renewals, midterm adjustments and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
8. Input accurate data onto the back office systems.
9. Liaise with Insurers and other third parties regarding the administration of client’s insurance needs.
10. Assess, assimilate, analyse and present to insurers and underwriters to achieve risk acceptance at the most advantageous rate.
11. Prepare customer reports on both new and existing risks to support the commercial lines manager/supervisor.
12. Take ownership for actioning and updating Diary System as directed and within defined time scale.
You
1. Commercial insurance experience ideally in respect of schemes business.
2. Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business/client relationships.
3. Understanding of broking and underwriting process.
4. Highly organised, with good planning skills.
5. Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.
6. Completion of / progress towards CII.
