HVAP Data Centre Shift Supervisor - Slough

Our client is a global data centre services organisation, steadily growing their presence, and have a requirement for a HVAP Data Centre Supervisor to be based at a Critical Data Centre Environment located in Slough. Package includes a salary of £60,000, OT, free on-site parking, career pathways, company pension plus much more!
The successful candidate will be required to control and implement deliverables against all allocated Customer Specific Service Level and KPI Agreements. To make a direct contribution to the development and successful operation of the Managed Services function, working with colleagues to develop and implement departmental strategy, objectives and improvement processes. The operational requirements for customer sites are to be a member of the team covering 24 hours a day 365 days per year on a shift rota basis and to be available to cover shift members where possible.
Duties:
1. Understand the maintenance or extra works to be carried out and identify the potential impact to health and safety and critical plant operation through the generation of Critical Environment Work Authorisation (CEWA).
2. Identify and utilise mitigating measures to address the potential impact, through the implementation of safe systems of work and operational procedures (SOP and EOP).
3. Supervise the engineering team on critical maintenance and operations.
4. Assist with the asset condition reviews for engineering plant.
5. Comply with the customers RNOW change approval system.
6. Actively supervise engineering risks through applying CERM methodologies.
7. Be proficient in the use and application of CERMview.
8. Be an appointed High Voltage Authorised Person.
9. Establish and develop trusting, meaningful relationships with the site engineering team, TET team, DCS and other client staff.
10. Lead cultural change on a daily basis, through being an effective role model for safe working practices, compliance, quality standards and best practice methods.
11. Volunteer ideas/initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and improved service levels.
12. Positive contribution to the “team” effort, with a “can do” attitude and raising of standards.
13. Undertake other tasks, as required by the Contract Manager, in accordance with experience and competencies.
Requirements:
1. City & Guilds Electrical competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
2. Comprehensive building services knowledge in similar environments to a minimum of HVAC standards.
3. Critical Environment Experience.
4. Good Customer relationship skills.
5. Working knowledge of “Permit to work” systems.
6. Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship.
7. HV switching qualification/experience.
8. 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
