Salary: £43,251 plus night allowance – shifts are permanent nights, Monday-Thursday, 20:00 - 06:00. Responsibilities • Enabling Heathrow’s passengers to experience the best airport service in the world, through maintaining a broad range of specialist equipment. • Working in a fast-paced, reactive environment to reduce asset downtime quickly and efficiently. • Investigating faulty or poor-performing assets, identifying improvements and implementing meaningful change to improve the airport experience. • Keeping records up to date, for example, the maintenance history of our assets, to create efficiency and meet Heathrow’s regulatory requirements. • Showcasing your passion for ‘doing the right thing’, by proactively spotting hazards, reducing risks, and creating a safer environment for all. • Carrying out all duties with consideration and respect for best practices and continuous improvement. Qualifications City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical maintenance or Installation. Strong practical skills, gained within an engineering environment. Working knowledge of inspection and testing on LV distribution boards, including such items as protection relays, switchgear, controls and metering and experience of PLC systems would be an advantage. Able to carry out EICR's with confidence and ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations within BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 in Inspection and Testing or Equivalent. Ideally, you will also have: Comms, PLC and SCADA would be an advantage.
