ACES Manager
ACES managers are focused on supporting Sort Centers (SCs) improvements made on behalf of Amazon customers, to drive standardization efforts, act as liaisons with other departments, provide process skills to the SCs, support SC launches, support SC Kaizen Events in their areas of expertise, and to run and coordinate cross-functional projects for successful implementation across the SCs.
The process owner’s mission is to help SCs succeed in scaling operations whilst meeting performance commitments through working hard and smart to strengthen standardization, by developing process improvement leaders with dive-deep process skills, by running and coordinating the top business efforts/projects and by supporting mechanisms generating a daily Kaizen culture of continuous root cause elimination, such as implementing improvements resulting from abnormalities identified in standard work initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the business in achieving and sustaining performance excellence through the use of Lean techniques. Serve as a facilitator of continuous improvement implementation and colleague involvement to create and sustain culture change to achieve long-term business strategies.
2. Improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and efficiency.
3. Within the area of responsibility, analyze current work practices to identify areas for improvement and educate on how to improve business and manufacturing processes. Devise and test solutions and roll out new ways of working.
4. Drive functional projects, risks, issues, and benefits. Participate in Lean health checks and go/no-go assessments.
5. Perform workplace audits and streamline processes within the area of responsibility.
6. Process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying inefficiencies in productivity with a particular focus on layouts and sequencing.
7. Communicate effectively with various levels within the business to educate in lean methodologies and how recommended changes can cut waste from operating procedures, influencing and motivating both proactively and reactively.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience in operational logistics/supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, general management, or engineering role.
2. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to analyze, implement, and monitor best practice solutions.
3. Excellent analytical skills to evaluate complex processes and financial scenarios.
4. Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
5. Demonstrate strong track record of team leadership within a large scale rapid and process-driven environment, whilst also being able to handle multiple projects.
6. Sound business acumen.
7. Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and related software.
8. Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving) process improvement, and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques.
9. Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent qualification.
