AmcoGiffen has a vacancy for the role of Quality Manager, with regional responsibility for ensuring that all projects are compliant to the business systems controls and process. In addition supporting the business in relation to the development and management of the requisite systems and processes to support this. AmcoGiffen’s project and framework portfolio typically consists of Infrastructure and Capital Delivery projects, Asset Maintenance frameworks, maintenance and renewals of railway infrastructure including but not limited to; bridge re-construction/replacement, upgrades and refurbishments, station work (platforms etc.), access for all schemes, structures including overbridges and under bridges, tunnels and footbridges. The Role As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for providing quality assurance input and advice to operational and support staff nationally, as well as providing input and advice in the development of the company’s Business Management Systems. Your day to day responsibilities will be diverse and will include but certainly not be limited to: Supporting the Business with the development of the Quality Management Strategy. Maintaining the Quality Management System Assessment and review of our Supply Chain’s assurance credentials. Management of Self-Assurance and associated procedures. Managing Entry into Service considerations Implementing Progressive Assurance, culminating in a fully assured solution at handover for our Clients. Review and maintenance of all Client-specific assurance cases and licences (e.g. NHSS, SCCS, Verify and RISQS). Promoting the culture for continual improvement and positive behaviours. Provide mentoring and advice for Assurance issues and best practice Mentoring and advisory capacity concerning Assurance issues and best practices. Briefing of assurance standard updates and changes in Regulations. Undertaking of internal assurance audits, and prescribe corrective action, to not only address but to improve the system. Support the Regional Head Health and Safety Manager with reporting on Assurance metrics within the business. Requirements To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as an Quality Manager in the rail industry with an appreciation for railway systems and the interface with other disciplines. Other essential criteria is as follows: Considerable experience in Rail. Lead Audit experience and professional training in all associated areas – ISO9,001 Demonstrable experience of implementing improvement programmes. Experienced in the practical use of Document / Business Management Systems An in-depth understanding of railway engineering principles. Experience in rail systems and their interface with other disciplines.
