Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit Learning Mentors to work in a Multi Academy Trust within Cornwall.
Your role will entail you to work on a 1:1 basis with children engaging them socially whilst maintaining a strong relationship and encouraging their academic development. Throughout the day you will be working both inside and outside of the classroom and may go off of the school site with the pupil (a full, clean driving licence is compulsory). You will be working closely with the children, parents, and other professionals, observing the child's development, and offering new initiatives that inspire them to progress further.
To be successful for this role, you must have a qualification of Level 2 or higher that relates to children. For example:
- Health & Social Care
- Childcare
- Sports Coaching
- Supporting Learning and education
- Others will be considered
The ideal candidate will also have previous experience in either the following sectors or another relevant role:
- Youth Work
- Support Work
- Psychology
Due to the high demand for Teaching Assistants, Teaching Personnel will offer you a two-week paid induction. Here you will undergo all the training that you need for this role. This means you will be immersed into the school's ethos and vision, ensuring you start off with all you need throughout. During this training you will partake in Safeguarding Training and the schools equivalent to TeamTeach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
