What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants who have a desire to work in, or experience with special needs education, who have a real passion to support and enable the learning and development of the children in our brand-new academy.
The position will appeal to experienced teaching assistants and in particular individuals who have other skills to offer like a background in the Arts, Technology, IT, PE or mental health, as we feel these attributes will complement the role well.
We are looking for a practitioner who has an innovative approach to their work and aren’t afraid to think of new and interesting approaches to the support they offer.
We looking for a practitioner to work with pupils across the Primary age range and up to Year 11, although the age range will eventually include post-16 provision. You will be supporting learners within their classroom environment as well as their personal and social development during socialising periods through break and lunch times. The role may also involve supporting pupils who are accessing an alternate provision away from the school environment, or working with one specific pupil on a regular basis.
Whether you are an experienced teaching assistant who has worked within specialist educational needs or someone who has exceptional vocational skills and a real drive to make a difference in children’s lives, you must be able to provide our children with aspirations for their futures along with promoting a positive culture in everything you do.
