One of our long-standing maintenance clients based around the UK has an immediate vacancy for a RETROFIT PROJECT MANAGER covering the Chester and Wrexham regions for refits of around 600 properties with a project value of around £6 million.
Projects include installing solar panelling, external wall insulation, and the decarbonisation of properties.
Duties will include:
1. Ensuring all Site Managers have the relevant experience and ability to manage their allocated projects, managing 3 site/section managers.
2. Managing the daily running of contracts to complete work to quality, time, and cost constraints.
3. Ensuring Health and Safety policies, procedures, safe working practices, and risk assessments are effectively communicated to all site staff and contractors.
4. Understanding and implementing safe systems of work.
5. Mobilising allocated projects.
6. Understanding and managing the programme of works.
7. Ensuring the client meets and exceeds customer expectations in terms of service, reliability, quality, and responsiveness.
8. Managing workforce productivity ensuring targets are set and issued before work starts.
9. Managing workforce quality and adherence to specifications.
10. Conforming with Operations Managers audit process.
11. Understanding how to influence and act upon poor performance.
12. Communicating within the Branch regarding costs and progress, explaining any variances.
13. Managing site administration and records and actively minimising waste on site.
14. Understanding trades and local labour resources (both direct and subcontract) to meet contract programme's timescales.
15. Supporting recruitment and effectively inducting and developing site-based staff, including apprentices.
16. Ensuring all operatives behave in a courteous and polite manner, in line with our Code of Conduct and company approach.
17. Ensuring all operatives comply with the company expectations regarding PPE and Workwear.
18. Engaging in any investigations and accident reporting processes.
19. Adhering to company vehicle and plant reporting procedures.
20. Ensuring the vehicles are used correctly and not abused.
21. Regularly checking and auditing purchases and time sheets to deter fraudulent behaviours.
22. Attending and contributing within client meetings as necessary.
23. Attending and contributing at Branch Meetings.
24. Proactively ensuring that employees remain motivated and engaged with the business.
Minimum Requirements:
1. C&G Advanced/Craft certificate or NVQ L2/3
2. SMSTS award
3. BCTG Supervisor Development Programme certificate
