Portland House vets have been working with clients in and around the Retford area for over 50 years. We look after farm and small animal clients as well as wildlife parks and zoo clients. We pride ourselves in providing excellent patient, client and employee care.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding position where no two days are the same. The ideal candidate must be empathetic, friendly, have a high degree of accuracy and be a good team player. Having the ability to build a rapport with our clients, their pets and with your colleagues is of the utmost importance.
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate proven reception experience (or similar) and hold strong administration, organisational and customer service skills.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for meeting and greeting pets and their owners, scheduling appointments, handling telephone enquiries and processing payments. Other duties include dispensing medication, ensuring stock levels are accurate, maintaining good communication between clients and the veterinary team and keeping the front of house area as clean and as welcoming as possible.
Working days are Monday-Friday with shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm. There will also be 1:4 Saturday mornings. The role will primarily be based at the Retford practice but may involve some work at the Ollerton branch.
