The Best Connection require a Cable Stripper for our client in Hunslet, Leeds, LS10 for an ongoing contract.
Duties will involve stripping lead joints using airline tools instead of a chisel to access the lead inside the cable. Training will be provided.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:00 – 16:30
Pay rate £12 per hour
There will be a need to wear additional PPE due to the nature of the work, which includes disposable coveralls, ventilated face masks and gloves, along with the standard safety boots and hi vis vest. Employees must follow high personal hygiene standards and must shower at the end of each shift. All PPE is provided for the worker.
Blood tests need to be carried out prior to anyone starting work and then periodically tested every 3 months to measure lead exposure which is minimal risk when wearing the correcting PPE and maintaining good personal hygiene.
