We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Derby. The role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
This is a modern purpose-built practice which is fully equipped, and it is located close to main train and bus stations. They are looking for an experienced vet with solid medical and surgical skills. A commitment to deliver the best veterinary care along with excellent client facing and interpersonal skills is essential.

Consultations: 20 minutes
Team: 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs and a supportive non-clinical team

About you:
You will have solid medical and surgical skills
You will be forward thinking, ambitious and motivated vet
You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
You will have ambition to pursue an area of special interest
You will be passionate about all aspects of your veterinary work
You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required

You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff

Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
Holidays: 5.6 weeks annual leave, rising to 6.6 weeks after 2 years
