Project Centre, part of Marston Holdings, is a leading multi-disciplinary design, engineering, and consultancy firm. With a growing pipeline of new clients, exciting opportunities, and major projects already underway, we are expanding our team in the Manchester region.
We are seeking a highly experienced Associate Director to help lead and develop our team, covering projects in both the public and private sectors. This role offers the opportunity to shape the strategy for growth in the North while leading a talented multi-disciplinary team, including kerbside management, sustainable travel, traffic, landscape, and highway design services.
The Role
As an Associate Director, you will:
* Lead & develop a team of senior engineers, engineers, technicians, graduates, and apprentices.
* Drive business growth by developing new service areas, including business case preparation and broader transport policies.
* Act as an account manager for key clients, working closely with the Director of Kerbside Management & Sustainable Communities to ensure financial success.
* Oversee the preparation of bids, proposals, and estimates for new work.
* Recruit and develop staff to meet customer expectations and business growth plans.
* Provide technical direction to project teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring best practices across disciplines.
What We’re Looking For
* A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Strong experience in transport and design, with a proven track record in business growth and client engagement.
* Chartered or Incorporated Membership (ICE/CIHT) or close to applying.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience in delivering profitable workstreams for local authority clients.
* Expertise in business development, account management, and client relationships.
* A self-starter mindset, capable of delivering complex projects and leading teams to success.
