Quality Systems Engineer

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Quality Systems Engineer working for a large manufacturing company in Flint. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to join a large company with a real family feel.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring, operating, driving compliance to, and reporting on, the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). This includes writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development, participating in audits, championing, and providing training in the correct use of the QMS.
Supporting both UK production sites and Head Office functions in the compliance and management of the Quality Management System, ensuring robust foundations that meet our needs are in place for continuous production of safe, legal, and right quality products and services.
General and Task Management
1. Maintenance and control of all quality system documentation.
2. Management of Group level documentation such as Procedures and Work instructions.
3. Timely and appropriate complaint responses within defined timeframes.
4. Collation of customer opinions and feedback using a multichannel approach – social media, online product reviews, etc.
5. Analysis of quality data to provide the business with a basis from which to create improvement programs.
6. Maintain customer portal systems and customer specification databases.
7. Work with Harford data to support complaint responses and highlight trends and areas for improvement.
8. CAPA logging, progress reporting, and verification checks.
9. Manage QMS change control and participate in Product Specification Change control.
10. Carry out Internal Audits of the QMS.
Communication, Relationship and People Management
1. Clear, concise, and effective communication is key to the success of this role.
2. Liaison with all internal Departments (e.g., Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing) to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practices, and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Communicate with external stakeholders including customer technical departments, consumers, and auditing bodies.
4. Recognize what motivates others and use this to influence their decisions and thought processes.
5. Lead and/or support training and education of the QMS across the business.
6. Communicate effectively throughout the shop floor and with site management to maintain standards.
Responsibility
1. Ensure accuracy of specifications within Fusion system.
2. Ensure Document Control system complies with the relevant standards.
3. Archive records in a safe and easily retrievable manner, in accordance with GDPR and document retention requirements.
4. Provide accurate investigation reports for customer complaints.
5. Keep customer portals up to date.
6. Manage the quality stage of product specification change control both permanent and interim changes.
7. Manage and report on the company’s concession process.
8. Provide data and run reports from all areas of the QMS to the wider quality team.
Health and Safety
1. Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety Rules and procedures.
2. Participate in Safety Observation program.
3. Identify Health & Safety training requirements to your manager.
4. Positively challenge unsafe behavior through coaching and listening.
5. Inform your manager of individuals who abuse Health & Safety rules and procedures.
6. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations before undertaking any work.
