They are committed to excellence, innovation, and professional development. Role Summary: NXGN is looking for a proactive and experienced Quantity Surveyor for our client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates, monitoring project costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Prepare tender and contract documents, including taking off quantities. Undertake tender bids for ongoing clients and new business opportunities. Manage and maintain tender and client portals, identifying suitable opportunities. Collaborate with architects, clients, subcontractors, and in-house teams to ensure projects are completed within budget. Perform site surveys and pre-tender meetings. Issue valuations and applications in line with payment schedules. Monitor project costs and prepare monthly cost reports. Manage subcontractor orders and applications, ensuring all orders are within budget. Provide support for estimating and procurement activities. Maintain and build relationships with existing and new clients. Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and estimation techniques. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including digital measuring systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure. Knowledge of traditional building methods and high-end residential construction is a plus.
