We are based in Croydon and we support our customers in these diverse sectors for the UK and Ireland markets. As well as developing new build solutions with OEMs, we offer full aftermarket support to our customers by way of spare parts supply as well as repair and overhaul services at our local workshop or at the customer location via our highly skilled workshop and field service workforce.
The position being recruited for is a Field Service Engineer, on a permanent full-time contract, this role will be homebased and customer site based. Candidates need to be based in and around the Luton area north of the M25, this would allow good support to the Oxford area and also Norwich amongst other locations.

Core responsibilities
1. Field Service support - Commercial Vehicles Division.
2. Electric Drive and Diwa bus transmission systems.
3. Carry out diagnostics and repairs at customer and 3rd party sites.
4. Carry out major unit exchanges at above locations.
5. Support to OEMs as required.
6. Support with new product introductions
7. Support sales team in CV department to increase awareness of product performance, share field service opportunities and drive growth.
8. Provide technical support and advice to sales colleagues where appropriate.
9. Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and their representatives.
10. Liaise with Health & Safety and Field Service Managers on any issues arising from the day-to- day tasks.
11. Work with customers to minimise downtime of assets.
12. Adhere to all H&S and Environmental guidelines.
13. Always work safely and professionally, in accordance with the relevant documentation
14. Carry out work at workshop facilities as required.
15. Complete all paperwork once assignment is finished and submit as soon as practical.
16. Complete engineering reports in a timely manner
17. Manage expenses responsibly.
18. Monitor and control stock levels within individual's depot.
19. Maintain company vehicle in accordance with company policy.
20. Carry out stock takes in line with annual plan.
21. Share product knowledge with colleagues where possible
22. Working unsociable hours may arise to meet the requirements of the business.
23. Work reasonable additional hours to meet business needs.
24. Use reporting procedures to feedback quality related issues noted during the work assignment.
25. Ensure all assigned training within PEP and iHasco are kept up to date.
26. Undertake product specific training when requested.
27. Always represent the business in a positive and professional manner.
P rofessional Experience & Education
28. Completed engineering apprenticeship as minimum, level 5 qualification or higher preferred.
29. Mechatronics or multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias
30. Background in field services and engineering
31. Experience with electric vehicles
32. Working knowledge of zero emission vehicles, electric drive/fuel cell
33. Experience with high voltage vehicle systems
34. Working knowledge of variable speed electric drives and control systems
35. Excellent diagnostic capabilities
36. Good IT skills
37. Full UK driving licence.

40. Monday - Thursday, 8am to 17pm, Friday 8am - 15:30pm a 41-hour working week.
41. £50k - £60k (dependent on experience)
