Senior/Principal Ecologist – Join a Passionate & Friendly Team!
Location: Based in Oxfordshire: Office-based with the option to WFH plus site visits (South-East region)
Salary: £40,000-£60,000+ plus Benefits (higher salaries available dependent on experience)
Interview Process: 2-stage (Teams with a following face to face meeting)
Are you an experienced Senior Ecologist or Principal Ecologist looking for a stable, friendly, and hands-on working environment? Our client is a well-established ecology consultancy offering a collaborative, friendly space where everyone remains involved in site work and where you can play a key part in project portfolios including Trust, Infrastructure, Energy and Minerals (some Residential work may also be required).
Our client offers extensive training and development to all ecology staff with a yearly budget and internal training courses for team unity. They can also offer specific project work to tailor to your interest and expertise including Expert Witness, Ecological Impact Assessment (EIA), Protected Species Licensing and Habitat Management.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Ideally a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience working for a private consultancy.
2. Strong Botanical ID & Habitat ID skills with experience working in line with protected species licenses.
3. Passion for the ecology sector with academic qualifications to demonstrate this interest.
4. Experience working with UKHab and implementing in line with project elements.
5. To be within 1 hour of the Oxfordshire offices with a full driving license.
6. Experience using GIS Software (QGIS) beneficial.
