Aspire People are recruiting for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a Resource Base within a mainstream school in Shard End.
This role will involve working alongside 4 other supportive members of staff (3 Teaching Assistants and 1 Class Teacher). You will primarily work 1:1 with a child with Autism and global delay, who is non-verbal; utilising sensory and interactive resources to support the child's development. However, you may also be required to support other children.
The child you will be working with is in Year 2 but is working to the EYFS curriculum, so previous experience with SEND and EYFS is essential.
This role starts ASAP and will run until July 2025, working 5 days per week.
Requirements for our Teaching Assistant Roles:
1. Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification (or an equivalent for ratio purposes)
2. Experience with children who have additional needs
3. Experience within a Primary School (preferably 6+ months)
4. Updated and clean DBS on the update service
5. The ability to inspire children
6. Ability to work as part of a team
