Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
Hours of work: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 3.00 pm on Fridays

What You’ll Do:
As our Accounts Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing all aspects of the nominal ledger
Reviewing entries made by the bookkeeper
Managing Direct Debits and Nominal Cashbook Postings
Reconciling supplier accounts, bank accounts (GBP & Currency), and invoice discounting accounts
Preparing supplier payments for Director approval
Handling accruals, prepayments, and maintaining the fixed asset register
Analysing overhead expenditure and assisting with VAT returns and reconciliations
Managing intercompany reporting and credit referencing for customers
Supporting year-end accounts preparation and overseeing the annual audit
Covering and supporting other finance team members to meet tight deadlines
Undertaking various ad-hoc accounting duties as required
We’re looking for someone with:
AAT Level 4 Qualification or equivalent experience
Strong communication and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
A solid understanding of accounting principles and experience working to tight deadlines
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Sage or equivalent accounting packages
Experienced in payroll processing, however, this is not essential
A proactive, motivated attitude with a passion for success
Leadership abilities to guide and support team members in implementing efficient financial processes
System knowledge: Sage or any equivalent accounts package
