On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Client Operations Funding Analyst, based in Manchester with hybrid working on an initial 6 month contract.
NatWest is a major UK retail bank, providing everyday banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The bank's expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail, and Investment Banking.
Purpose of the Role:
As a Client Operations Funding Analyst, you will manage short-dated funding requirements for G11, emerging markets, and minor currencies, ensuring timely cash positioning for collateral and repo activities. You will work to tight deadlines, reconcile nostro accounts, and deliver post-value analysis to optimize balance distribution and costs.
As a Client Operations Funding Analyst, you will be responsible for:
* Managing short-dated funding requirements for G11, emerging markets, and minor currencies.
* Ensuring secondary nostro and securities-linked cash accounts are reconciled and within tolerance.
* Delivering post-value analysis to optimize balance distribution and cost allocation.
* Supporting cash positioning for collateral, repo, and interest rate derivative activities.
* Working closely with Treasury, middle office, and settlements teams to ensure accurate funding.
* Contributing to process improvements and supporting change programmes effectively.
What we require from the candidate:
* Experience in banking, treasury operations, or financial reconciliation, preferably in an operational environment.
* Knowledge of nostro accounts, investment banking products, and multi-currency cash management.
* Strong understanding of operational, liquidity, settlement, and financial risks.
* Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
