Our client, a leading E-Commerce Fulfilment company based in Swindon, are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to work at their premises in Swindon.
The main purpose and objectives of the role are to manage day-to-day activities of your designated team including Operatives and Co-Ordinators and to provide training, guidance, instruction, and leadership.
Duties:
* To oversee the quantity and quality of output from within the team.
* Adhere to and police all operational processes as defined.
* To develop and maintain a robust control of the environment and activities and help achieve a first-class service delivery.
* Support the Operational management team in all activities as required.
* Management and planning of day-to-day fulfilment orders by assigning tasks to team members.
* To actively participate in the daily processing/packing of orders.
* Determine activity completion timelines and monitor progress such that all orders hit their deadlines.
* Communicate progress and update Operational Management.
* Own Transport – be able to move between sites when required on the same day.
Skills & Experience Required:
* This is a fast-paced role that requires ‘thinking on your feet’ and would require past experience in the management of people and excellent system skills.
* Existing Supervisory skills will be an advantage.
* Good analytical skills – to review daily output data e.g. orders processed per hour.
* Good organizational skills.
* Good PC skills including Excel (Mintsoft experience would be an advantage).
* Coach, counsel, and develop individuals to be the best that they can be and sponsor and champion their development.
* Always maintain Health and Safety rules within the environment.
* Be aware of costs and actively look to minimize the ‘cost to serve’ within your area of control.
* Build focus and discipline within the Team.
* Work with the Management Team to plan and manage effective training of direct reports including induction programs. Encouraging staff to grow and develop their roles and offer associated training such as First Aid and H&S.
* Forward plan for upcoming client campaigns and busy periods such as Black Friday and Christmas.
* Review and recommend opportunities and options within the business.
Working Hours:
* 42.5 hours Monday to Friday between 06:00 – 18:00.
* Some weekend work if required with volumes.
