We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and commercially focused Senior Accountant / Commercial Analyst to join our finance team.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nThe Part Qualified Senior Accountant / Commercial Analyst will play a key role in the financial and commercial performance of the business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial reports, analyzing business performance, and providing key insights to support commercial decisions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with various teams to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and overall business growth.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nFinancial Reporting & Accounting:\n\nAssist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\n\nSupport in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.\n\nAssist with reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to bank, fixed assets, and accruals.\n\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records for all financial transactions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.\n\nSupport the preparation of VAT returns, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements as necessary.\n\nCommercial Analysis & Business Insights:\n\nConduct financial analysis on sales, costs, and profit margins to provide insights into business performance.\n\nWork closely with the commercial and sales teams to track performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets.\n\nProvide actionable insights and recommendations to management on areas for cost savings, profitability improvement, and pricing strategies.\n\nPrepare ad hoc reports and financial models to support business decisions, including pricing analysis, break-even analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, operations, and marketing.\n\nBudgeting & Forecasting:\n\nAssist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.\n\nMonitor and report on financial performance against budget, highlighting any significant variances and recommending corrective actions.\n\nHelp manage cash flow forecasting, ensuring that cash requirements for day-to-day operations are met.\n\nFinancial Systems & Processes Improvement:\n\nAssist in the ongoing improvement and streamlining of financial processes and systems.\n\nContribute to the implementation of new systems or software that improve the efficiency of financial reporting and analysis.\n\nEnsure proper documentation of financial procedures and controls to maintain accuracy and integrity.\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nPart-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or commercial analysis, ideally in a fast-paced or manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong understanding of financial accounting, reporting, and commercial analysis.\n\nProficient in Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools (experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar is a plus).\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders.\n\nExperience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.\n\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.\n\nA proactive and commercially focused mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth and cost efficiency.\n\nDesirable Skills:\n\nKnowledge of the electric vehicle or sustainable transportation industry is a plus.\n\nExperience in working with international finance teams or multi-currency transactions.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nBe part of a fast-growing company at the forefront of sustainable transportation.\n\nA dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters personal and professional growth.\n\nOpportunities to make an impact on business decisions and contribute to the company's success.\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\n\nIf you are passionate about financial analysis, have a keen interest in sustainability, and want to play a key role in a rapidly growing industry, we would love to hear from you
