We are currently recruiting for an IT Systems Team Leader who will be responsible for support and development of critical IT infrastructure services which are used to deliver access to applications in a secure and optimised manner to end users. Role and responsibilities will include: Taking full accountability for the provision of IT systems infrastructure services Lead a team of 5 team members creating vision, setting and communicating direction and bringing clarity to ensure they are equipped to deliver and develop. Developing and managing the teams Performance Development and training plans towards delivering on the IT strategy Actively keep up to date and adopt IT industry best practice within your service area providing appropriate solutions that meet business needs Own and ensure that IT system administration and IT status monitoring processes are maintained and followed. Develop and maintain routine maintenance processes and ensure that they are followed and completed on schedule Responsible for the team carrying out servicing, maintenance and patching updates and upgrades necessary across the IT systems infrastructure. Advises on IT performance issues and any security and compliance risks Performing duties in accordance with the ITIL framework to ensure a consistent best practice approach to service delivery and management. Delivery of services provided in accordance with performance requirements and in line with resolution times against Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). Provide the IT Systems escalation point for Incidents, Requests, Changes, and Projects. Proactively maintain service Availability, Performance, and Security Act as a major incident lead when required Attend Project Management Group to ensure technical/functional requirements are detailed sufficiently at the appropriate stage of the development cycle, provide estimates to Project Managers. Attend IT Change Advisory Board and contribute to the necessary change decisions on the IT infrastructure. Attend IT Technical Design Authority and contribute to the necessary strategic technological decisions on the IT infrastructure, participating in solutions designs, documenting and presenting these solutions. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field OR 4 years’ experience as a technical team lead / manager in a similar role Evidence of continuing professional skills development, in Infrastructure architecture and administration Ability to convey complex technical issues to non -technical staff. Use of technical knowledge of existing and new technologies to provide the best fit solutions and deliver an efficient operational service Excellent Technical knowledge of Microsoft Products including Azure Public Cloud architectures, Windows and Linux Operating systems, Microsoft 365, Virtualisation Awareness, principals, and best practice around cyber security Please send through your application should you feel you would be a fit for this exciting role
