We are now looking for a Countryside Operations Manager to join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 years.

The Role
As a Countryside Operations Manager, you will ensure the provision of a range of first-class services across the Park whilst leading the Countryside Management Operations team. Specifically, you will ensure the effective management of nature recovery and public access, while delivering a high-quality service that represents best value.
You will also be involved in income generation and diversification, resource allocation, including staff, volunteers and contractors, help to develop policies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Additionally, you will:
1. Lead a team of Wardens across three geographical areas
2. Ensure that outsourced work is delivered on time and within budget
3. Determine the future activities and staffing structure of the countryside management brief
4. Assist with the recruitment process and training and development of staff
5. Ensure health and safety measures are upheld
6. Support effective communication with key stakeholders
About You
To be considered as a Countryside Operations Manager, you will need:
1. Experience in people management across multiple locations
2. Experience in Countryside Management, Resource Management and Budget Management
3. Knowledge of land management, conservation and nature recovery
4. Knowledge of health and safety in countryside environment
5. Excellent leadership and project management skills
6. Strong financial acumen
7. ILM level 5 or equivalent
8. IOSH Leading Safely or similar
