(With Deputy Head of Sixth Form TLR opportunity for suitable candidate)
MPS/UPS
Start Date: September 2025
Ofsted Report October 2023: “Because teachers really care about us, we really care about them,” What our students said about us.
Do you want to work in a vibrant, rural, 11-18 school, which is in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, on the edge of the thriving market town of Banbury? The Warriner School has an excellent academic reputation, both locally and more widely, and we are very proud to be an integral part of the community that we serve. Staff have high expectations for all students and work enthusiastically to continue raising attainment and achievement.
We are a high achieving, ambitious Drama department who are passionate that all our students are given the opportunity to experience live theatre, either as an audience member or performer. Candidates with an interest in whole school musicals and technical theatre would be desirable.
Knowledge of the GCSE & GCE Eduqas specifications would be advantageous. The successful candidate will potentially be required to teach Post 16 Drama (EDUQAS) with support from the Subject Lead alongside KS3 and 4 Drama.
For the right applicant, there is also an exciting opportunity to take on an additional role as Deputy Head of Sixth Form. Our Sixth Form is renowned for its exceptional provision, and this role will involve supporting students at KS5 and deputising for the Head of Sixth Form when required. Candidates should have relevant experience in student support at this level and be ready to balance this leadership role alongside their teaching responsibilities.
Furthermore, for the appropriate applicant, there may also be the possibility of teaching English or PSHE.
The department is experienced in the support and training of newly qualified teachers and recognises the importance of professional development. We are a dynamic department who believe in cross curricular work, peer mentoring, and pushing boundaries creatively and would welcome applicants who feel they could contribute to this journey.
