Description Suffolk County Council – Landmark House, Ipswich, IP1 5PB - Hybrid Newly Qualified Adult Social Workers: £34,834 per annum, Plus a £500 additional payment on completion of ASYE (pro rata for part time hours) Grade 5 Social Workers: £35,745 - £38,223 per annum (pro rata for part time hours) 37 hours a week - Flexible working options available and the option to apply for part time hours Permanent Your role and responsibilities The Mental Health Review team are currently recruiting for a G5 Social Worker to join the team. You would be joining a team who feel passionately about supporting adults with mental health difficulties and working with communities and other organisations to get people the right support at the right time. The team work closely with mental health services across East Suffolk, both in the community and in inpatient settings. We are responsible for meeting the Care Act needs and undertaking S117 aftercare reviews of adults both in Suffolk and out of county, who are also supported by secondary mental health services. This includes supporting out of area hospital discharges and carrying out Care Act assessments in the community. As part of this role, you will also work within the frameworks of the Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act. The team is currently made up of 1 Team Manager 1 Senior Practitioner Social Workers and 3 Senior Independence and Wellbeing Practitioners. The team split their time between working from the office and working from home, alongside visiting people in the community. There are opportunities for continued professional development within the team, and to explore individual interests and specialities. The Senior Practitioner in the team is a Practice Educator (PE) who would be happy to share their knowledge and experience, and for you to explore the chance to further your development in the same way.
