Allen & York are excited to be working with a global chemical company whose unparalleled operational and technical expertise across the value chain make it premium provider of their product, which is used in various industries worldwide.
They are now looking to recruit an organised and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join a Team of seven other planners, and you'll be responsible for work preparation and tool/parts allocation, working closely with trade teams, engineers, procurement, stores and the operations teams. Whilst this role is a day-to-day planner, there will be opportunities for you to diversify and work in a different capacity in the future.
It's expected you'll hold a mechanical maintenance engineering qualification at HNC/HND level, with comprehensive experience in a mechanical maintenance engineering role within the oil and gas sector or heavy chemical engineering, working on large, complex sites, which are heavily regulated.
You'll have experience of work planning and work orders, and you'll be adept at using SAP, but you may also have experience of other planning softwares such as MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Lotus Notes. You'll be skilled in reviewing and amending maintenance instructions, and you'll be good at problem solving and managing multiple priorities, projects and deadlines. An excellent communicator, you'll excel working collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines.
