About our team We are a resilient and dedicated team who have vast experience of working with rough sleepers in Bracknell Forest. We have built rapport with numerous agencies to ensure that those that we work with are given the best level of support and advice. You will be joining a dynamic, friendly, and solution-based team who have vast experience of working with vulnerable people. The work is fast paced and innovative, sometimes the work is challenging however there is also time for finding creative solutions and every day is different. You will work alongside the housing led and housing management team to support those rough sleepers who are currently in temporary accommodation. As well as the local drug and alcohol team when outreaching those who are rough sleeping. Key responsibilities To actively work with rough sleepers to relieve their homelessness, by assisting them into alternative housing when all other housing options or solutions are exhausted. To provide outreach and weekly visits to rough sleepers within Bracknell Forest. To undertake a comprehensive assessment of a rough sleeper’s needs. Ensuring that any complex needs are identified and support is sought from relevant agencies. To engage with rough sleepers and build a rapport to ensure that any identified mental health needs are supported by external agencies to enable wrap around support to the rough sleeper To work closely with all internal teams and provide support as required, enabling an effective Housing Service.
