Key Responsibilities: Assist in delivering high-quality support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across the curriculum. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans for students. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to engage fully in lessons and activities. Adapt and modify learning resources to meet the individual needs of students. Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, ensuring their well-being. Help manage classroom behavior and encourage positive learning behaviors. Monitor and track student progress, reporting feedback to the class teacher and SENCO. Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding student progress. Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment. Key Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable. Compassionate, patient, and nurturing attitude with a genuine desire to help students succeed. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to a range of individual needs and learning styles. Understanding of child development and special educational needs is an advantage. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred but not essential. A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
