Your core responsibilities Lead Regional Operational Excellence Initiatives: Drive initiatives that align with the overall business strategy and goals, ensuring measurable impact on operational efficiency and service quality. Standardise Depot Operations: Implement and maintain a unified set of operating standards across all depots to promote consistency and excellence in service delivery. Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs to upskill employees, enhance performance, and ensure alignment with operational excellence goals. Conduct Internal Audits and Assessments: Perform regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with operational standards and identify areas for improvement within your area of responsibility. Support Underperforming Depots: Provide targeted assistance and strategic guidance to underperforming depots, driving improvements in productivity and the quality of services offered. Foster a Lean Culture: Champion a lean mindset and practices throughout the organisation to reduce waste, optimise processes, and enhance value for customers. Project Management: Lead and manage projects that directly contribute to the Division’s strategic objectives, ensuring timely and effective execution. Requirements Our essential requirements Education & Certification: Minimum GCSE in Maths and English, A-Level/Degree preferred, IOSH & CPC Certification is desirable Professional Background: Extensive experience in operational excellence or logistics with a track record of meeting KPIs, driving continuous improvement, experience in P&L management is desirable. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of transport/logistics, waste industry regulations, and environmental and H&S legislation, with experience in route planning software. Leadership & Management: Proven ability to manage labour-intensive, multi-shift environments and operational teams with a focus on commercial success. Analytical Skills: Highly numerate and analytical, comfortable working with data to inform decisions.
