The Duty Team Manager Role
We have vacancies across the older persons & physical disability service and require experienced social workers who have leadership and supervisory oversight. This may include social workers, occupational therapists and any other clinical or non-professionally qualified colleagues. The post holder will do this through the provision of management, professional expertise, skills and advice to ensure we deliver high quality services.
You will act as a role model and expert practitioner within your team, building on the team’s ethos of reflective practice, learning and development.
We offer a variety of Social Work opportunities catering to different service user groups and settings and work closely with the Team Manager to deliver a safe, strength-based service, promoting and improving independence, ensuring comprehensive person-centred assessments, reviews and interventions, supporting court work (where required) and ensuring residents are safeguarded, enabling choice and control regarding their accommodation, care and support needs.
You will have:
1. Expert knowledge of key legislation, Social Work theories and guidance with demonstrable ability to apply this to practice.
2. Ability to supervise and/or manage a cohort of social care practitioners, including workers from different professional backgrounds, Newly Qualified Social Workers, and student placements.
3. Experience of working with people with disabilities and/or mental illness.
4. High quality written and verbal skills, with an ability to collate and analyse complex information, and produce clear, good quality data.
5. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and with multiple agencies to facilitate holistic assessments and work collaboratively to support people to achieve their goals and maximise independence.
