We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to help us shape the development and delivery of our inpatient Mental Health service. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a genuinely holistic OT role within an established, collaborative and supportive team. You will be working as part of a supportive and committed occupational therapy team and will carry outward level OT Service Development, Mentorship and will guide junior staff. You will also complete occupational assessments, group and individual work required to support service users in their recovery. We have a well-developed OT programme, new wards, and a beautiful therapy garden for you to deliver your interventions. We recognise that OT support for those with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis has been neglected and are aiming to redress the balance. This pathway is one of three OT pathways undergoing transformation and development within our care system. Main duties of the job
1. Manage a caseload of clients.
2. Provide specialist clinical advice and input for clients with complex problems and needs.
3. Ensure occupational therapy contribution to the provision of quality clinical care and performance standards.
4. Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of occupational therapy and local multi-professional services.
5. Inform the Team Leaders of any professional issues as necessary.
6. Report to or assist/advise the Team Leaders of any matters of complaint.
7. Fully participate in the Trust's performance review and personal development planning process on an annual basis.
8. Provide effective guidance, supervision, and appraisals for junior staff.
9. Represent the clinical specialist occupational therapist when appropriate at relevant meetings.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year based on full-time hours.
