The Role: The Group Operational Resilience Lead reports to the Head of Group Operational Resilience within M&G plc. The Group Operational Resilience team is responsible for setting the Strategy & Framework (including but not limited to Policy, Standards, Operating Procedures, Tooling, Governance and Reporting) for all in-scope business areas across the M&G plc. The role holder will support the Group Accountable Executive (the Chief Information Technology Officer) in the delivery, maintenance and management of M&G's Operational Resilience Strategy and Framework across M&G plc. This includes designing and maintaining requirements for Standard Resilience (BIAs and BCPs), Enhanced Resilience (IB Services, Impact Tolerances, Dependency Mappings, Scenario Testing & Reporting), Third Party Resilience and Testing & Exercising. You will need to work closely with key stakeholders within M&G plc (Accountable Executives, Service Owners, Business Area Operational Resilience Leads, BCP Owners, Technology Resilience, Third Party Risk, Risk, Compliance, HR, Technology & Finance) to ensure a 'joined up approach' to resilience oversight effectiveness. Through collaborative engagement with Business Area Operational Resilience Leads, you will need to ensure M&G remains operationally resilient, which is defined as 'the ability to prepare for, adapt, respond to, recover from and learn from operational disruption'. In addition to internal stakeholder engagement, you will also support the Head of Group Operational Resilience with M&G plc's engagement with external stakeholders (regulators, industry bodies and key third party partners). Key Responsibilities for this role: Deputise for the Head of Group Operational Resilience as and when required. Support the maintenance and enhancement of the M&G plc Operational Resilience Strategy and Framework. Work closely with the rest of the Group Operational Resilience team to ensure that the requirements of the Framework, underlying Policy and supporting Standards are understood and effectively implemented. Act as a trusted partner to Business Areas implementing the Operational Resilience Framework, working closely with Business Area Operational Resilience Leads, apply challenge, provide SME guidance and ensure business areas achieve and maintain their Operational Resilience objectives. Oversee and support the ongoing evaluation and management of threats and vulnerabilities to the Operational Resilience of M&G plc in collaboration with the business areas operational resilience leads. When required, stand in for the Head of Group Operational Resilience at the Operational Resilience Forum - the group-wide governance forum for Operational Resilience. Evaluate emerging international regulatory developments and help to translate any associated impacts to the M&G plc Operational Resilience Framework. Partner with owners of supporting frameworks (e.g., third party, cyber, technology, data, and change) to ensure key considerations are embedded across the organisation. Facilitate key control testing, assurance and / or audit examination requirements. Help mature the tooling, data and reporting strategy underpinning the Operational Resilience Framework - supporting the development of an end-to-end flow of MI.
