I am partnering with a forever growing business, based on the outskirts of Redhill, whose looking for a friendly, experienced Finance Assistant to join their small team. This role will focus on processing payments, managing supplier accounts, and maintaining financial records. It's a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a friendly environment where everyone helps each other out!
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating and scheduling monthly payment runs
Processing invoices from suppliers and subcontractors
Entering payments into Sage and sending issuing remittance notices
Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
Maintaining accurate supplier account records and reconciling balances
Managing the purchase ledger inbox and responding to queries
Handling supplier rebate reconciliations
Ensuring compliance with CIS regulations, including subcontractor verification and tax returns
Supporting the wider finance team with general bookkeeping and reconciliation tasksSkills & Experience:
Previous experience in purchase ledger/accounts payable
Familiarity with Sage and CIS is beneficial but not required, training will be provided
Strong numeracy skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
