The Role? Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced QC Inspector to join our team on a full-time permanent basis Based in Bridge of Don Aberdeen. Primarily responsible for ensuring technical quality standards are being met and that the company / industry quality procedures and controls are being followed, whilst identifying actions and improvements as required. The successful candidate will hold a thorough attention to detail. Be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. The successful candidate will also hold previous experience within a similar position, ideally within a manufacturing / Inspection and / or NDT work activities. Experience within the Lifting / Tooling Industry would be an advantage. This is a 'hands on' role, which includes physically checking equipment, alongside the generated paperwork. What will you do? Assist with developing and updating quality control standards and procedures. Responsible for conducting visual final inspection of various equipment in accordance with Company processes and procedures and recording and signing off paperwork. Responsible for completing reports where deviations are found, or materials are rejected which do not conform to quality or industry standards. Review test documents/ certificates ensuring documents correspond with equipment and complete final sign off prior to delivery of equipment to client. Responsible for ensuring equipment used within the workshop is calibrated and calibration certificates are valid. Responsible for producing reports of defects and issues including making sure remedial actions/ follow-ups are carried out and conducted. Responsible for ensuring the collation and maintenance of all records pertaining to the quality system. Ensure that work area is safe to carry out activities and carry out risk assessments as required. Responsible for providing cover to the Despatch Team Lead as necessary. Assist with any other duties as and when required. Who are you? Hold previous experience within a similar position. Ideally hold a qualification in quality assurance / quality control. Experienced working in accordance to ISO 9001:2015, 45001, 14001 An understanding of industry safety standards. Ideally a background in Manufacturing/Inspection and/or NDT work activities. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Organised and structured approach to work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Ability to identify anomalies with the ability to escalate as necessary. Flexible approach, team player and ability to work independently. The ability to analyse the quality of equipment. Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Through attention to detail.
